good stay with room for improvement
The staff showcased a genuine commitment to excellent service. The breakfast had an impressive variety and was freshly prepared, making each morning enjoyable.
The maintenance of the room could use some attention as it appeared slightly dated.

perfectly positioned for windswept walks and charming attractions
During our four-night stay, we appreciated how close we were to St Martin's Church, just a short 1.5 km stroll away, and the delightful Windermere Steamboat Museum, which was only 900 meters down the road. both visits added to the charm of exploring the area on foot, making it easy to soak in the stunning views and quaint atmosphere of Windermere.

Amazing service!
We stayed for 3 nights and loved it! Sue was super friendly and helped us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were awesome. Our room was cleaned daily, but the shower pressure could've been better. we had a fantastic time and met some great people!

We recently stayed in a lovely family room at this charming guest house, equipped with great amenities. The location is perfect for exploring Windermere and Bowness, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming, making our stay with a newborn baby feel special. Breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious.
In my wife’s opinion, a play area for small kids would be great.

had an amazin stay at glenburn! sue was super friendly and made us feel so welcome. the room was clean and comfy with fluffy towels and soft bedding. breakfast was delish and way better than expected. the chill area by the bar was cozy too, perfect for chillin out after a long day!
the shower pressure was pretty low and we wished there was an iron in the room.

The breakfast was absolutely lush, brimming with local goodies, and the room we had was spot-on with comfy beds and lovely touches like chocs and biscuits. Plus, the central location is a win for accessing local eats like Prince Of India and Homeground Coffee + Kitchen!
While the shower had a stellar look, the water flow was a bit dodgy—definitely left me wanting more of a power shower! a few cobwebs were peeking at us from the ceiling, giving a rather unwelcome vibe.

missingWrote a review on May 31chill-out areagreat locationsmall parking
The cozy chill-out area features comfy Chesterfield sofas and quirky board games that made relaxing after a long day enjoyable. The location is ideal for easy access to nearby attractions, just a short walk from the lake.
Found the parking area cramped, making it a tight squeeze for modern cars, with the risk of being blocked in by other guests. The breakfast options were nothing to write home about. pastries served cold and not heated up. The shower had poor pressure, making it a challenge to rinse off properly. Wi-Fi connectivity left much to be desired, frustrating when it was needed most. Plus, a lack of dinner service on-site meant having to venture out for evening meals, which could be a hassle, especially on a rainy day.
